I finally have a desk to make art. It's so lovely all I want to do right now is stare at it...

This is by far the coolest little planter ever and it makes me smile every time I look at it. The best part: Sofia let me bring it home even though she really wanted the owl flowerpot.

I don't know if it is because I'm a mom now or that I have always been slow at getting projects done, but everything moves slowly around here... especially when it comes to working on house projects.

Although I still need a desk to work on, the sun-room is feeling more like a creative space and less like a fishbowl where everyone outside can see right in... I really should put down curtains next on my to-do list.

What better way to get back into the swing of things than with a good friend's wedding!?! I feel so lucky to have been able to do this for him. I truly wish him and his new wife all the best.

It's been a long two and a half years, but things finally feel like they are getting back to normal. Sofia is a "big girl" now and we have a new home to grown into, so Mama gets her play room again. I feel as though I am coming back to life. Let's see where we end up, shall we?

I've been so busy and neglecting this blog for good reasons. Without going into detail, here are some photos of our new home:

Our settle-in date is April 1st. We still have a lot of painting and moving to do before then so back to work I go!

MY little goofball. She cracks me up with that crooked, charming little smile. Watching her grow has been the most memorable, special, enjoyable and not so enjoyable moments of my life. Everyday is happy and sad in all the best ways possible.

Yes, I do miss my time alone. I miss making art. I miss going for walks at night with my husband. I miss quiet time. I miss being able to get in and out of the car effortlessly. I miss sleeping in, too. I miss a lot of things - even this blog and all of you!

But life without Sofia would be meaningless and boring. In exchange for that past life, I spend my days with the most wonderful angel who gives me endless joy and truly IS the meaning of love. I did not know what that word meant until I met this special girl.
